On the other hand, does a legal requirement that the gov't NOT do something keep them from doing it? Notice that our Bill of Rights says the gov't shall NOT do this or that or the other. Yet they violate these every chance they get, and then some.
Going by their track record, wouldn't we expect them to try to locate the DC Madam's records (if they haven't already done that), then seize and/or destroy them?
Maybe there are some experts within the Rose Law Firm who might still be available for such work. :-)
On the other hand, if the DC Madam's records are "out there somewhere," or have been digitized, or otherwise duplicated on a large scale, will there be a mad scramble to try to find and destroy them?
Simply destroying the originals or only one set of copies might not be "enough." Scenes from past episodes of "24" are coming to mind as I write this...
