My predicament since being brutally assaulted by an undercover police tactical unit in Hoffman Estates in August of 2006 and then being dismissed from American Free Press in October of that year has brought me into contact with the most incredible people.
Supporters from around the world began communicating with me when they heard of my plight. One of them, an amazing Californian now living in Oak Park, Illinois, is James B. Phillips.
This man, who is a trained lawyer, attended every day of my trial when the chips were down and the deck was stacked against me. On the first day of the trial, he was even attacked by a gang of police conspirators and the judge, who used every dirty trick in the book to dismiss my expert witness, Gregory Johnson.
James Phillips is a devout traditional Catholic and loyal supporter who has written to defend me against the tsunami of defamation I have been subjected to. James was a Marine Corps rifle platoon leader during the Vietnam War who knows something about what is worth fighting for, and about life and death.

A few personal comments on Christopher Bollyn. I know Christopher Bollyn personally. I have met with him, his wife Helje, and his two precious well-mannered children on various occasions. To this day I continue to communicate with the Bollyns on a regular basis.
Since my first encounter with Chris and his family they have always come across to me as very honest, decent, and morally upright individuals. There are few real men who are willing to expose themselves to the dangers Chris has for the sake of disseminating the unvarnished and unadulterated truth in the areas that he has.
For that matter, Helje, his wife, has also courageously put herself at real risk in being a leader in exposing the evil behind the sinking (and subsequent cover-up) of the [sinking of] Estonia in 1994, which took hundreds of lives including that of her then dearly beloved husband.
Earlier in May and June of this year I was in attendance at all four days of Christopher's show trial where he was unjustly accused, prosecuted, and falsely convicted. (The case is currently on appeal.) I saw the real agony that Christopher and his wife went through day after day of that perjury laden trial.
I know of the small tract house (the one in front of which he was brutally beaten and tasered on August 15, 2006 in front of his terrified wife and 8 year old daughter) that Chris and his family lived in during their time of residence in Hoffman Estates, a suburb of Chicago. They were crowded into this tiny house, which they had to share with Chris' older brother. Chris was certainly not living high on the hog. He did not even own an automobile and it was obvious that things were very tight economically for the Bollyns. At one point my dear wife prepared a large bag of groceries, which I delivered to the Bollyns to help them get by! We wanted desperately to help them financially, but we ourselves were just scraping by.
It is truly sad and unfortunate that so many bloggers and others who have never had any personal contact whatsoever with the Bollyns nor are aware of how much they have truly suffered in their personal lives, nevertheless find it within themselves to calumniate Christopher with all kinds of things (e.g., Zionist agent, liar, disinformation agent, publicity hound, etc.) What is worse is that often these individuals posit their ill-founded speculations as if they were established facts.
I am certainly not trying to canonize Christopher Bollyn here. I'm sure he would be the first to admit that he is not infallible, that he may have sometimes made a mistake or two. Well, who among us has not? We all have, but few of us ever like to admit it. I would challenge anyone though who wants to play the Pharisee by raking Chris over the coals for this or that to step back and look at the big picture. With an open mind examine his writings and judge for yourself.
It is not for no reason that he has had to take the extreme precaution at great sacrifice of uprooting his family and seeking exile in hiding -- possibly permanently. We may all reap the benefits of Chris' original cutting edge investigative journalism. It takes us where almost all others fear (or are too lazy) to tread. How many of us would be willing to go through what he has gone through and continues to go through? (Words are not always cheap. The words of Christopher Bollyn have already extracted a dear price on him and may even eventually cost him his life.)
No, for so many of us it is so much easier to sit behind a keyboard and bloviate to our heart's content on some blog site, never minding the wanton destruction of a good man's name we leave in our wake.
