The aircrafts are not regular aircrafts, but rather are all gravitic flight-means. The dark cloud is artificially generated from devices onboard the craft. This feature started to appear over the United States in the late 1990s. The sonic boom does not comes from the craft's flight speed, but rather is a feature generated artificially by the craft and used as a noise scare (I believe they call it noise, blast - quake, roar in the sky) or sonic weapon. This they were already doing in the late 1970s.
The vibration of jackhammers: If the event was planned, and reports suggest that a repair crew was on the scene somewhere working and using jackhammers. A feature of the craft can emit that type of vibration. But if it was planned, the planners would know how to manage the satiation where jackhammer noise would be blamed on the repair crew. The public is not aware of certain things and a craft in the air generating the noise, the uninformed public would not be able to make the connection.
