Statement of Christopher Bollyn

Once again, due to the numerous false and alarming reports circulating in the news media and the Internet, it has become necessary for me to make a statement to clarify my position.
I have been an independent journalist since 2000. My articles have been published in a number of print and electronic media outlets in the United States and around the world.
As an independent contractor since 2000, I provided articles to the American Free Press, a weekly paper based in Washington, D.C. until 7 October 2006. Many of these articles have been re-published on numerous websites. I have also been invited to discuss my research and writings on a variety of radio, television, and Internet outlets.
During my 7-year career as a journalist, I have always been a completely independent journalist and have never had an exclusive contract with anyone. I have never worked with any associates or team. This has allowed me to choose the subject material that I considered the most important.
My detractors and critics, however, have long sought to associate me with others in obvious attempts to discredit my research and defame me. Since November 2001, for example, the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith (ADL), an organization devoted to defending Jewish and Zionist criminals, has falsely defamed me and attempted to discredit my research by seeking to marginalize me as "a writer" for the American Free Press, which the ADL falsely labeled as an "anti-Semitic" newspaper.
(Why the American Free Press did not promptly sue the ADL for libel in 2001 is a subject that certainly deserves an answer from Willis A. Carto, the chief person who controls the newspaper.)
The ADL, which has falsely labeled me as an anti-Semite since 2001, has never produced a single sentence written or spoken by me that would indicate that I harbor any anti-Semitic views.
The American Free Press, on the other hand, accused me falsely of being associated with Daryl Bradford Smith, an American based in France, who hosts an Internet radio show. Although I have been interviewed by Mr. Smith on several occasions, I have certainly never worked with or for him.
Some of my articles have been posted on a website linked with Mr. Smith, Iamthewitness.com, simply because Eric Hufschmid is the webmaster. My connection with Mr. Hufschmid goes back to 2002 when he was working on his excellent book about 9-11 entitled Painful Questions.
Although Eric Hufschmid and I have corresponded for years and we are both involved in 9-11 research, I have no control whatsoever over what he and Mr. Smith post or discuss on their websites.
