OVERNIGHT FOLLOW-ON VOTING LIFTS RON PAUL TO A HUGE MARGIN OF VICTORY !!
REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL, OF TEXAS, HAS POSITIVELY 'SKUNKED' THE OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES IN THE C-SPAN POLL:
With 5961 votes cast on the C-SPAN poll, Ron Paul has now widened his lead to 73 % ... mostly at the expense of U.S. Senator John McCain and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani of New York. Mitt Romney is still hanging on with 8 %, down from his seemingly embedded base of support of about 11 %. These results follow-on from the first televised "debate" between Republicans seeking the party nomination for president.
These results clearly demonstrate that once people get to know something about Ron Paul, and what he stands for now and has stood for over the years, they like it. He may not be the slick and well-groomed "executive-type" that is former Governor Mitt Romney, but his showing in the Republicans' debate proves that he is now a considerable force in presidential politics.
The C-SPAN poll only allows a single vote for each unique user, so there is no vote-stacking going on ( unless a few people have access to dozens of unique user computers, which is highly unlikely ). It would seem that the two best-known candidates in play now -- McCain and Giuliani -- cannot trade on their name recognition and ample resumes, after people get to hear what they really have to say about where they stand on issues.
