Barbara Honegger worked in both the 1976 and 1980 campaigns for Ronald Reagan. She worked for Martin Anderson at the Hoover Institute. When he joined the Reagan Campaign, Barbara went with him.

In 1983, Barbara resigned in protest from the Reagan Administration. She was the first resignation of conscience from that administration.
