RUMOR MILL NEWS MADE A MISTAKE!!! As is our policy, when we make a mistake, whether it is a typo which alters the meaning of an article, or ignorance on the part of our esteemed Editor in Chief, we do issue WEA CULPAs. Sadly to say, "we" made another mistake. This time, it was not a typo, nor the ignorance of our Editor. This time it was far worse than that. This time is was a Freudian slip which has allowed all the readers of RMNews to peer inside the mind of our "esteemed" Editor in Chief, and senior writer, and see how she really feels about certain Representatives in our esteemed House of Representatives. In the paraphrased quote from Alec Baldwin, in the following email on Representative Tom Campbell's courageous stand on the 25th Amendment, RMNews stated: "On Conan O'Brien's late night talk show, Baldwin told his followers, (and I am paraphrasing, "...we must stone Henry Hyde to death. We must find all the representatives who voted AGAINST impeachment and go to their homes and kill their wives and children" Naturally, it should have read, "We must find all the representatives who voted FOR impeachment and go to their homes and kill their wives and children." RMNews apologizes for this gross mistake. Our readers should never have been given that glimpse into the dark recesses of the mind of RMNews' Editor in Chief and Senior Writer. Our special thanks to JB for pointing this out to us. But why was JB the only one of our loyal readers who caught this mistake? Is she the only one who read the article thoroughly? Just in case that is the case, I am giving you a chance to redeem yourselves, by including the original text of the article with this email. Several readers from "other people's forwards" have stated that the enclosed link to the Congressional Record doesn't work. That being the case, I have attached the original Congressional Record to this email. That way you can read Representative Tom Campbell's comments for yourself. You will have to scroll down about 20 or more pages to find it. And in the future, RMNews is going to add little mistakes here and there, just to see how many of you read carefully enough to catch them. Send Your Prayers of Protection His Direction!! Representative Tom Campbell needs your support and your prayers. After I went to the Congressional Record and found the comment he made last Saturday, December 19, 1998, as he cast his vote for impeachment, I could not believe how courageous Mr. Campbell is. He is the first man in this country to openly call President Clinton Incapacitated, and call for him removal using the 25th Amendment. No media has picked this up. RMNews is the only news outlet that caught this remark. Please send this around far and wide. Send it to every news source and radio show you know. And while you are doing this, say a prayer for Tom Campbell and his family. All of you know about the "hate speech" that came out of Alec Baldwin's mouth. Mr. Speaker, the example that the gentleman from Louisiana (Mr. Bob Livingston) has set for us has completely changed what I was going to say. Let me offer these words instead. He has shown us the importance of trust. If we cannot trust our leaders, they cannot govern. The gentleman from Louisiana (Mr. Bob Livingston) has led by example. Our Constitution was amended in 1967 to allow removal for incapacitation. Prior to that, the only way to remove a person who was physically incapacitated was impeachment. Today we deal with incapacitation of a different kind; a person who, by his conduct under oath in a Federal criminal grand jury, demonstrated that he would not tell the truth if it was in his interest not to tell the truth.
